Pangaea[]
Pangaea was where the dinosaurs spend most of the Triassic period. Pangaea was the first known continent to ever exist. A large portion of the continent was desert. Pangaea broke into two big continents during the Jurassic period because of movement of the earth's crust caused by tectonic plates shifting. During the Cretaceous period the continents moved and split into a shape that is similar to their arrangement today. When a meteor hit earth approximately 66 million years ago, the continents were again molded into the shape we recognize today.
